A visionary doctor
The functional medicine approach, her background in microbiology and graduate studies in cancer research (molecular genetics) have enabled her to develop a practice based on LIVING LAB principles (clinical research based on documented observation and applied in the clinic).
Dr. Desautels advocates global health and integrative medicine approaches, working in collaboration with various health professionals to personalize her treatment plans and meet her patients’ needs.
As education is very important to Dr. Desautels, she participates in the writing of several articles on various health topics. A well-known speaker, her favourite subjects are hormone therapy and medical cannabis, as well as everything to do with preventive and integrative medicine.
According to Dr. Desautels, the advancement of science and technology is essential to her medical practice, which is both current and avant-garde.
Together, all these aspects have contributed to the development of an innovative healthcare model that CMIE has embodied for almost 13 years.
