Registration process at men’s hormone therapy clinic

Welcome to the CMIE’s clinic specializing in men’s hormone therapy!

We are delighted that you have chosen our facility to take care of your health!
Here is some important information to help you prepare for your first appointment with a healthcare professional.

How does the registration process work at our clinic?

  • To benefit from the services of our hormone therapy clinic, you must become a member by paying an annual membership fee of $175.
  • In addition, you will be charged a one-time file opening fee of $25 + tax if you do not already have a file open at CMIE.
  • Once your file has been opened, our secretary will schedule a telephone appointment for you with a nursing assistant to “collect data.” This appointment lasts 45 minutes and costs $150.
  • The total amount paid when opening the file is $353.74, including taxes.

What is the purpose of the data collection appointment?

This appointment is essential for establishing a complete history of your health and family medical history. It will enable the healthcare professional responsible for your treatment to have all the information they need to treat you effectively.

When will you receive the date of your first appointment with the treating professional?

When your file is opened, the secretary will give you the name of the professional who will be responsible for your hormone therapy.

Who are the treating professionals?

At CMIE, we are proud to offer you the services of highly qualified hormone therapy professionals. We have general practitioners who have undergone specialized training in hormone therapy, as well as specialized nurse practitioners (SNPs), who are registered nurses with master’s degrees that allow them to practice as 100% independent professionals. SNPs have also received similar training in hormone therapy in order to provide you with the quality of service you deserve.

How long does the first appointment with your treating professional last?

The length of the first appointment depends on the complexity of your case. In general, it lasts between 30 and 60 minutes. At the end of the consultation, the professional will send a prescription to your pharmacy so that you can begin your treatment. The amount billed will depend on the length of the consultation with your treating professional and will be paid after the consultation.

How do follow-up appointments work?

After the first appointment, your treating professional will be able to tell you how often follow-up appointments will take place. In general, patients undergoing hormone therapy are seen every 3 months, depending on the complexity of the case. This frequency will be discussed during your first appointment.

At each follow-up appointment, your healthcare professional will give you a prescription for a new hormone test. This will allow them to monitor the progression of your symptoms and the effectiveness of the treatment.

Are you ready to take charge of your health?
