Two new doctors at CMIE

We are delighted to announce that Dr. Simon Phaneuf, along with Dr. Marie-Noëlle Lord, has joined the CMIE team recently.

DR SIMON PHANEUF is a family physician who graduated from the Université de Montréal, has been a member of the Canadian College of Family Physicians since 1990, and holds Certificates of Added Competence in Emergency Medicine (MU) and in Sports and Exercise Medicine (MSE).

In parallel with a long career in emergency medicine and medical teaching at the Université de Sherbrooke, then at Université Laval, he has developed expertise and experience in sports and occupational medicine over the past twenty years.

Dr. Phaneuf is currently a designated expert physician for the CNESST, a marine medical examiner for Transport Canada and a designated physician for the IRCC (Immigration Canada). He is trained in the use of CNESST and SAAQ compensation scales. He also holds an MBA and has contributed to the management of several companies.

DR. MARIE-NOËLLE LORD has been a licensed general practitioner since 2000. She worked full-time in the emergency department for over fifteen years, before specializing in lifestyle medicine.

She was the second physician in Quebec to become certified in Lifestyle Medicine. A clinical lecturer at Université Laval’s Faculty of Medicine, she also co-implemented Canada’s very first Lifestyle Medicine program for family medicine residents.

She is also co-founder of the “SANAKIDO” program, a platform/training program designed to enable patients to take charge of their own health in order to prevent, control and even reverse certain chronic diseases such as diabetes, obesity, hypertension, DLP and MCAS.
