Annual fee
The annual fee at CMIE is an administrative fee offering you various services for an optimal follow-up:
- access to health care and services in the most sophisticated and professional environment
- personalized telephone or electronic confirmation of your appointments at the CMIE
- various types of telephone or electronic reminders and follow-ups by nurses or physicians, such as your lab results
- personalized electronic communications that include health-related information, clinic news such as the arrival of new doctors, specialists, services or care offered, the calendar of events or conferences offered or to come, and much more.
Accessibility to a CMIE private clinic family doctor is increased and superior for several reasons:
- a range of quality health care services is offered on site, at the CMIE offices, such as a blood or other types of samplings and access to various health care specialists
- access to a telephone appointment with a CMIE physician, an appointment with a nurse or a personalized follow-up by our health professionals are offered to all patients
- the ratio of secretaries/nurses per physician is currently higher in private practice than in the public system
- all CMIE physicians, nurses, specialists and professionals offer the same personalized, multidisciplinary health approach, focused on the patient’s needs, with simplicity, attentiveness and humanity.

File opening and annual fee
The cost of consultations in private general medicine is generally not reimbursable by private insurance, since the Quebec Health Insurance Act prohibits it (article 15). However, this cost may be deductible in your total annual medical expenses (taxes).

NOTES
- A deposit of $ 100 is required prior to the first appointment. Non-refundable for data collection appointments AND if the appointment is not respected or cancelled at least 24 hours before the scheduled appointment time.
- Rates are the same whether the appointment is by telephone, in person or via telemedicine.
- We do not accept cheques or cash for payment.
