Dr. Jean Godin named new Executive Director of CMIE

We are pleased to announce that Dr. Jean Godin has been appointed Executive Director of CMIE. Dr. Godin, who has been a valued member of our team for many years, will continue to practice as a family physician at our Bromont clinic two days a week while assuming his new responsibilities as Executive Director.

Dr. Jean Godin was born in Montreal and graduated in Family Medicine from the University of Montreal. He began his medical career at CHUM (Hôpital Notre-Dame), where he primarily worked in the emergency department while also serving as an instructor for resident physicians in family medicine.

He then continued his medical practice at Le Gardeur Hospital in Repentigny where he was primarily involved in emergency care and also managed hospitalized patients. During this time, he also served as an instructor for the Advanced Trauma Life Support (ATLS) program.

After his hospital experience, Dr. Godin moved on to practice, initially within the public healthcare system and then in the private sector for several years. He also served on the boards of directors for BioQuébec (2010-2016) and the Regroupement en Soins de Santé (2012-2016).

In addition to his medical practice, Dr. Godin serves at Sanofi as the global lead for humanitarian programs as well as programs providing access to experimental drugs for patients with serious or potentially fatal diseases that do not respond to approved and available treatments.

We are confident that Dr. Godin’s expertise and leadership will help us continue to provide the highest level of care to our patients.
